Alright, guys it's monday and today the map "Evil Twins Forest" has been released. If you guys haven't noticed, this
is a variation of Evil Twins Battle, which was one of my favorite maps. Have fun :)

How do you get the star?!?!?
ReplyDeleteQuick question about some difficulties with the level mechanic; sorry, I know it is somewhat unrelated but I can't figure out where best to post it.
ReplyDeleteLet's say that I've got 5 characters and I've levelled them up such that I get the 6th when I have 218600 experience. This means that to get the 6th character to level *two*, I need something like 180,000 experience. This seems out of whack - getting my first character to level 2 takes 18 experience and yet getting my 6th to level 2 could take *literally* 10,000 times as much? This problem intensifies if I either:
* want to, you know, raise a character's level to something *beyond* 2 :)
* pick up even more characters
Eventually I kind of run out of grinding ability. Is it at all possible in a future update to perhaps have the levelling mechanic work per individual character or is this too complicated? Right now I'm finding I'm just avoiding picking up extra stars as the level 1 characters get killed almost immediately in the later levels...

I've blown things up all over the Place and can't get at that dang star!
ReplyDeleteNoticed a glitch. If you blow up the odd trees in the rightmost frames, if you walk off screen and back again you can collect the gold again and again and again...
Bought lots of bombs for the blowing up...
I bought lots of bombs too with that glitch! :) But has anyone figured out how to get the star!!! I feel like I have combed every option!

ReplyDeleteFigured it out guys! Go to the room with the water on the top half of the room. It is in the north tunnel above the inn. Bomb the upper right coner of the water. A tunnel will open up to the star.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even have to bomb that area on the upper right of the water, just wandered around up there in the water and the black warp square appeared. Although with the unlimited gold, go nuts with the bombs . :)

ReplyDeletelol if they have an update make sure you collect as many coins as you can before you update because you know they will fix that..lol I found that on the far right by were there's the water..an area with two strange trees that I blew up also has the gold reappear but I'm getting 12 in one shot..
ReplyDeleteI second Justice's comment - if nothing else, maybe we could find a magic item that just once will let us reassign the levelling points? Maybe we could end up w/ 7 level 3s instead of having characters stuck at level 1.
ReplyDeleteI'd also love a future update to give us some way of seeing what level our characters are. The last couple times the level screen popped up were in the midst of battle, and I tapped random characters to upgrade before I knew what was happening.

ReplyDeleteI have tried bombing everywhere in the water- luckily there is infinite gold and therefore infinite bombs. Did I miss some jungle boots or something? Every enemy in the level is dead and I have destroyed every suspicious tree that would go down. I just can't make the stairs to the star appear...
ReplyDeleteIn the room with water on the top half, walk to the left side of the pool, then walk to the top of the screen, then over to the top right corner that becomes a door that takes you to the star. Does anyone know how to get the level ending crystal? Please post directions.

ReplyDeleteI've cleared the entire level have the crystal and star. But I can not find any area with gold that comes back with each return to any area. Was that bug fixed? Where is that area? Thx
ReplyDeleteThe gold glitch works on any gold exposed by blowing up trees.
ReplyDeleteIf you found the gold glitch before the update, it's still there. If you get to the level after the update, then there is no gold at all.
ReplyDeleteMy solution to the crazy XP curve is to dump all the levels into one wizard surrounded by L.1 knights. You have to micromanage target selection in the later levels, but an 18+ wizard rips through everything like a chainsaw.
ReplyDeletePlus it's fun to play as an Evil Archmage surrounded by a horde of expendable henchmen.
The crystal on Luther's Eye...Well, after you get the eye, you have to go back to that room with those three rocks arranged in a triangle-like shape and then the newly formed portal (since you got the eye) leads you to the crystal!
